Me- Today I recommending Dolphin Tale. Dolphin Tale is a movie about a dolphin named Winter who doesn't have a tale. It is based on a true story. The dolphin in the movie is played by the real dolphin. I really love this movie. I love animals, and I love dolphins. The story is heartwarming. I would really highly recommend seeing this movie.
The first movie I am recommending is Permanent. Permanent is a movie about a hairstyle gone wrong. However, there is much more to it then that. It is the story of a young girl trying to fit in at a new school where she encounters the school mean girl who hates her at first sight. Although this is similiar to the plot of many teenage movies the way the story plays out here is unique. It is not so much about a young girl giving a bully her compeuppance. It is more about a young girl learning to accept herself as she is, and that is much more important. It is also a much more realistic lesson than can be learned from those other teenage movies. The movies is also unique because it is not just a movie about teenagers. It is also the story of the young girl's family. Her father is dealing with his own issues trying to fit in, and it is driving he and his wife apart. However, like his daughter, he learns a valuable lesson about being himself. All in all, these two similar stories and their resolutions makes Permanent a nice little movie. Permanent is available on Demand, on Amazon video, on iTunes and in theaters.
The second movie I am recommending is Alternate Universe: A Rescue Mission. Alternate Universe: A Rescue Mission is about a couple of teenage girls who discover a wormhole to an alterate universe where the parents who they thought were killed in a car accident are actually still alive. The girls set out to rescue their parents. This film is not only about teenagers, it was made by them. Over 200 teenagers worked on this film and were taught the skills needed for making a film with a particular emphasize on STEM skills. All profits from the film are being donated to youth causes as well. The film is launching today via a variety of streaming services including Amazon Instant Video, Google Play, YouTube Red, Microsoft and Playstation as well as On Demand through a variety of US and Canadian cable providers.
And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
Thanks for the recommendations. I would like to see Permanent with my granddaughter who is trying to fit into a new town. Maybe its something she can relate to. If not its good to know others have been there.
