I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday With Giveaway - Misc: Be A Broadway Star: Win Your Own Copy of This Fun Game!

We received a copy of Be A Broadway Star for free for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.
Me- Today I am recommending Be A Broadway Star. It is a  really fun game. It is kind of like monopoly but more Broadwayish. Also, it is is more interactive. The game is best enjoyed if you have some knowledge of Broadway shows, but even if you don't, it still can be fun. For more about Be A Broadway Star and how it is played, see my Mom's post below.
Mom - Today I am also recommending Be a Broadway Star. Be A Broadway Star is a game where you get to pretend be a Be Broadway Star. Sometimes, you earn roles and sometimes you get cut. You can hire an agent and make more money, but then you have to pay your agent a portion of your money. You can hire a publicist and get more fans, but then you have to pay your publicist a portion of your money. You can even win a Tony. Sometimes, in the game you may have to sing or act out a little but you don't have be a good singer or actor. It is not required that you do these things if the thought of it absolutely terrifies you, however, it is all in the fun of the game, and you have a better chance of winning if you do. Ultimately, the object is to get the most fans and the person with the most fans at the end of the game wins.  One thing I like about this game is that you can't always tell who is winning since fan cards come in different denominations, and they are kept face down until the end of the game. This is especially helpful if you play with people who are sore losers and/or want to whine, quit, or try to change the rules of the game when they are losing.  This is not a simple game. There is a lot to the game, and it can be a bit complicated at first, but it is a lot of fun. It is not for very young children but tweens, teens and adults will love it.  Also, while it helps to have a knowledge of Broadway shows especially musicals, you can still play and enjoy the game even if you don't. Besides, most if not all of the shows referenced in the game are very long running popular shows that even casual theater fans are likely to know. If you are not a theater fan, you should still like this game. If you are a theater fan, you will  definitely like this game. If you are a big theater fan, you will love this game. For more about Be A Broadway Star go to http://beabroadwaystar.com/
