Me - Today I am recommending How to Meet Boys by Catherine Clark. The book is told from alternating points of view. It's about these girls named Lucy and Mikayla. They are staying by themselves in a house in Bridgeport. A few years ago, a guy named Jackson humiliated Lucy, and she's been avoiding him ever since, but now she has to work with him at a store in Bridgeport. Mikayla meets a guy and immediately feels a connection with him. It turns out the guy is Jackson which creates problems for her and Lucy. The book is really romantic, and it is a good story about two friends as well. I really liked the character of Lucy. I liked the way she learned to become more trusting over the course of the story. This is a really good and romantic book.
Mom - Today I am recommending The Silent Sister by Diane Chamberlain. Riley grew up in an unhappy household torn apart by the suicide of her depressed older sister, Lisa. When her father dies, she learns everything she thought she knew about her sister may not be true. In fact, everything she thought she knew about her whole life may not be true. This book was somewhat predictable. From the beginning I had a good idea where this book was heading although I did not know what the ending would be, However, the story still drew me in, and I could not put the book down. It is a thrilling ride.
And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
