Franklin Square's New Years Eve Countdown and Dance Party

A family-friendly New Year’s Eve celebration with a “Square Drop” in lieu of the famous ball. MORE FM hosts music and activities at 4:30 pm until 6 pm to commence the countdown and Square Drop accompanied by The Sugar House New Year’s Eve Fireworks, which are viewable from Franklin Square. The Square Drop, which started in 2010, has become a delightful family tradition, which includes family fun and fireworks. The 2-foot by 2-foot cube sits 30 feet above the ground atop its perch onWednesday, December 31, 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm SquareBurger and is lowered during the countdown. It contains over 1,200 lights in the colors of the Franklin Square logo. A Kids’ Dance Party will take place inside the indoor Pavilion after the Fireworks and will run until 8 pm.
