I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday- Misc.- Pure Silk and We Love Disney

Me -Today I am recommending Pure Silk Shaving Cream. Recently, I started using Pure Silk Shaving Cream for Sensitive Skin. It's amazing. It makes shaving so simple and fast. Before, I found this product shaving used to take so long, and I used to cut myself all the time. Now, shaving is so simple and fast that it makes me want to shave more often.

I participated in the We Love Disney album review program as  a member of One2One Network. I was provided an album to review but all opinions are my own.

Mom - Today I am recommending We Love Disney. We Love Disney is a compilation album made up of various well known singers singing famous Disney songs. The singers run the gamut from country artists like Kacey Musgraves singing A Spoonful of Sugar from Mary Poppins to R&B singer, Jason DeRulo singing Can You Feel The Love Tonight from The Lion King to rock band Fallout Boy singing I Wan'na Be Like You from The Jungle Book. For a full track listing, see below. With so many singers from so many different genres on one album, it doesn't seem like the album would really gel, but it definitely works. The album is not exactly unplugged but it has that kind of a feel to it. Unlike in a Disney movie, where every song even the quiet ones are big production numbers, here the songs are stripped down just enough that you can really concentrate on the beauty of each song instead of the way they are presented. Ne Yo's version of Friend Like Me, which you can listen to below, is a particular highlight. In both the Disney movie and the current Disney stage version, the song is kind of a frenetic anthem. Ne Yo's version gives it a quiet energy that lets you concentrate on the sweetness of the song instead of mostly on the verbal and visual pyrotechnics that accompany those other versions of the song. Another highlight is Gwen Stefani's version of Rainbow Connection. Her voice has never sounded so sweet as it does here. There is not really a bad song in the bunch. Listen with an open mind, and you will especially enjoy it. Even singers who you may not normally love or listen to do an admirable job here.
