Registration Process for Potential Mets Playoff Games

 The New York Mets announced online registration at Mets.com/Postseason for the possibility of being selected for the opportunity to purchase tickets, subject to availability, for potential New York Mets 2015 Postseason games to be played at Citi Field. The registration process gives all fans who register an equal chance to be randomly selected for this ticket purchase opportunity.

One random selection process will be held for the potential National League Wild Card Game and National League Division Series, and if applicable, separate random selections will be held for the National League Championship Series and for the World Series. One registration is all that is required to be included in all random selections, provided the registration is completed before the end of the registration period for the applicable Postseason Series.

There is no charge to register, and there is no obligation to buy a ticket.  There is no assurance that any particular registrant will be selected, and neither registration nor selection guarantees the ability to purchase tickets.

Online registration dates are as follows:

  • Registration Period Going On Now- Mets fans may log on to Mets.com/Postseason under the “Public Purchase Opportunity” tab and register for the special online-only potential opportunity to purchase postseason tickets.

The Riversharks will host their first ever Cornhole Tournament on Tuesday, September 8th, as they kick off the last home stand of the season!

New York Theatre Ballet's
announces 2015-16 training program
beginning Monday, September 21, 2015

Ballet School NY, the official training school of New York Theatre Ballet, is pleased to announce its 2015-16 training program, beginning Monday, September 21, 2015 at NYTB's home studio, located at St. Mark's Church-in-the-Bowery, 131 E. 10th Street, 2nd Floor, New York City. Classes will be offered Monday through Saturday. Cost ranges from $1,075 to $3,940 per year, depending on the age and level of the student. Qualified children will perform with New York Theatre Ballet throughout the year in special roles created for student dancers. The studio trains in the Cecchetti method, a technique founded by Italian ballet master Enrico Cecchetti. The school teaches dance as a total art form, developing strong technical skill and discipline. Following the Cecchetti syllabus, classes emphasize music, theatricality, gesture and style. Well-trained Cecchetti dancers have purity of line and simplicity of style, which enables them to take their place in dance companies throughout the world. For the advanced students, a once-a-week workshop is part of the curriculum. Offerings, including jazz, theater dance, modern dance, partnering, change every six weeks.

The Company's 2015/2016 season will include repertory performances at the Schimmel Center Pace University (September 19-20, 2015), Danspace (October 1-3, 2015), and New York Live Arts (February 24-27, 2016). Producers Lorenzo Thione and Andrew Treagus are pleased to announce a partnership with INSPIRE CHANGE, an innovative arts program that works alongside commercial theater productions to provide students across the tri-state area with no-and-low-cost tickets paired with unique and high-impact educational programming.  INSPIRE CHANGE was piloted with the Tony®-winning Best Musical Memphis in 2012 and is thrilled to be back on Broadway this fall with Allegiance, a new American musical starring Tony® Award winner Lea SalongaGeorge Takei and Telly Leung, which will open on Broadway at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th Street) on Sunday, November 8, 2015.  Previews begin on Tuesday, October 6, 2015.

The Casting Society of America (CSA), in partnership with Inclusion in the Arts, will host a Town Hall conversation between casting directors and actors with disabilities on Monday, September 21, 2015 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Equity Council Room at The Actor’s Equity Building (165 West 46th Street, 14th Floor).  The event is the first in CSA’s “Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion in Casting Initiative,” a series of conversations and workshops designed to effect measurable change in how actors from historically underrepresented communities are afforded access to job opportunities.

From the producers of NIRBHAYAThe ExoneratedGuantanamo and Sarah Jones' Bridge & Tunnel, Culture Project along with Rosie O’Donnell will present the world premiere ofMotherStruck written and performed by Staceyann Chin and directed by Cynthia Nixon, beginningThursday, September 24th, 2015 at Culture Project’s Lynn Redgrave Theater.   Opening Night is set for Wednesday, October 7th.

MotherStruck sets forth Staceyann Chin’s personal journey to motherhood as a single woman, lesbian and activist who does not have health insurance or a “serious, stable financial set up,” but wants to have a child. Told through Chin’s uniquely personal and poetic lens, this solo show explores how the process changed her life and how she makes peace with what she learns from this profound experience.

MotherStruck will play the following performance schedule: Tuesdays through Fridays at 8:00PM, Saturdays at5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, and Sundays at 5:00PM.

Producers Stuart Thompson, Sonia Friedman and the Almeida Theatre announced today that the box office for the critically acclaimed Olivier Award-winning Best New Play, King Charles III, will officially open tomorrow, September 5 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street, NYC).  King Charles III, the highly anticipated play about Britain’s future king, will begin previews October 10, 2015, with opening night set for Sunday, November 1, 2015.
