I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

SUNSHINE COLLECTIVE

IS UP TO SOMETHING VERY GOOD

WITH AN ALBUM RELEASE PARTY

FOR 'UP TO SOMETHING GOOD'

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1

ROOM 5,
143 N. LA BREA AVE.
LOS ANGELES

Sunshine Collective, the pairing of L.A.-based singer/songwriter Stephanie Richards and composer/songwriter/producer Brian Arbuckle, is back with Up To Something Good, their second album of hip and quirky, sunshine pop-meets-retro music with an all-ages appeal. Sunshine Collective is set to celebrate with an intimate, acoustic album release party at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1 at Room 5, 143 N. La Brea Ave., Los Angeles.
The spotlight at this show will be on all-out fantastic musicianship, with Sunshine Collective's Stephanie Richards on vocals, Brian Arbuckle on guitars and ukulele, multi-instrumentalist Dan Weinstein playing swing violin, jazz trumpet, and trombone, and a soon-to-be-announced, special guest pianist tickling the ivories on the vintage house upright piano.
At their October 1 show, Sunshine Collective will deliver highlighted songs from Up To Something Good, including the album's title track, "I Love You," "Misplaced Love," and "Waiting to Say Hello Again," along with signature tunes from Sunshine Collective's defining, debut album, Wanna Play? To add even more depth to the set, the band will include several of the most-requested singer-songwriter numbers from Stephanie Richards' early pop/rock career, including the alt-country/blues tune "Look At Me Now" and "Not Me," noteworthy for its Tom Petty-meets-Adele feel. Add an unreleased gem, to be performed only at this show -- the dreamlike-yet-urgent "Dream Chaser" -- to complete an unforgettable Sunshine Collective experience.
