I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Brick Fest Live

We were given tickets to Brick Fest Live free for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.
Me - Brick Fest Live, wow! Brick Fest Live was fun. It was so different than I thought it would be and a lot more fun than I expected. I thought it was going to be some tiny little thing with little Lego tables where you just build random stuff. Instead, it was huge and there was a lot more to do and a lot of people there. There was a place where you could build a Lego car, and then they raced the cars down a ramp. That was fun. It  was my favorite part of Brick Fest Live. My car came in 4th out of 5. I think I put too much stuff on, and I might have weighted it down to much, but I wanted to make it like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. I gave it wings and one of the wings fell off , but a lot of people's cars fell apart altogether. There were four different racing tracks and each track held 4 cars. When it was our turn to race almost all of the cars on the fourth track fell apart. There was a wall where you make Lego pictures or make words with Legos. Most people made words. I made the word "food" because I was really hungry, and I also made the words "Melia was here". They also had other fun things to do and see. There was food there too. We had pizza it was good. Brick Fest Live is a really fun place to go.

Mom - Although I have used Legos in my life and my children have as well, we have never gone beyond your basic not too difficult Lego creations. However, there is so much more that you can do with Legos including things that are way beyond anything that we could ever have imagined. We saw so many cool and amazing things at Brick Fest Live. Below are ten of them.

1- A Lego Guitar

2-  A Lego Ballpit

3- A Lego Robot

4- A Lego Golf Course

5- A Lego License Plate Holder

6- Lego Giant Dice

7- A Lego Woody from Toy Story

8 -  A Lego Ferris Wheel

9- A Track for Racing Legos

10- A Giant Blow-Up Lego Man

And that's our view. What is the coolest thing you ever saw made out of Legos?

Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday.

  1. We did something like that last year. The displays were cool, but my older son got bored from just walking around and looking at things. He was hoping for more hands-on stuff. They just had a little play area but that was it. Glad you had fun. Great pics!

  3. Legos are my granddaughters favorite toys. We go to Legoland in the Mall of America to see their displays and purchase our legos.
