Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson - Apt 2B is a modern feminist retelling of Sherlock Holmes. However, despite throwing in numerous references to the original, the story never really gets that interesting except maybe to a die-hard fan. Although Asher Paterno in the Sherlock role did a good job of capturing the essence of Holmes's annoying know-it-all character, the performer raced through lines much too quickly. Between that and the accent, it was often hard to decipher what they were saying and keep up with what was going on. Sand Morales as Watson was definitely the standout. This perfectly understated performance really grounded the show.  The other four cast members were mostly good in various roles.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for this week's Sunday Scoop.
