I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

              2162 Broadway
              New York, NY

When: Through October 25, 2026

Fish is the coming-of-age story of a young girl named Karya, whose brother has disappeared. Determined to find out if an outrageous rumor about where he can be is true, she ends up on the dark side of the internet and in over her head.

This show is darkly funny, terrifyingly shocking, and in some ways very relatable. Although the situations are, thankfully, unlikely to occur in most people's lives, the characters and relationships, particularly those between Karya and her best friend, Libby, and between Karya and her mother, are likely familiar to most. The two friends' relationship truly captures the push and pull of friendships among girls of that age. They love each other, and they hate each other. Sometimes, even both at the same time.

Karya's relationship with her mother is even more fraught. As a girl on the brink of adulthood, she pushes her mother away and not always in the kindest way. Her mother, for her part, is not quite ready to let go of her daughter. Sometimes, she holds on a little too tightly. Other times she is exactly what her daughter needs.

Karya is played by Yasmin Ranz-Lind. Roxana Hope Radja is her mother, and Alyssa May Gold is Libby. The skill of these performers, along with Sara Haider and Kario Marcel, gives the show its truthfulness and its heart.

And that's our view. For more about Fish or to purchase tickets, visit wptheater.org/show/fish.
