I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

             New York, NY

When: Through December 12, 2026

The Hope Theory is Helder Guimarães' one-man show. It offers a unique and appealing blend of magic and storytelling. Guimarães is both an engaging narrator and an incredible magician. He poignantly tells of his experiences immigrating to America and finding a new life here. Throughout his story, he frequently seques into unbelievable feats of magic.

Guimarães' story is full of surprisingly heartbreaking twists, but also abundantly brimming with hope.  It is ultimately an inspirational tale of perseverance. This show will both move and amaze you in equal measure.
