I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

           Like a Local Tours

Where: Tour starts at 128 Pierpont St.
                                    Brooklyn, NY

Who: All ages

Me - Like a Local Tours: Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights, and DUMBO Food Tour was fun. Even though I have toured those areas before, this tour covered different places, and I learned new things. The food was good. I especially enjoyed the pizza and muffins we tried.

Since one of the places we were supposed to go was no longer open, we got an additional unexpected treat, ice cream from Odd Fellows. That was my favorite of all. They had some interesting flavors, but I went with the traditional Cookies and Cream. It was delicious!

I learned a lot on this tour. It was really interesting and informative. Even better than being able to learn through shows and tours is being able to learn on a tour where you get to eat like this. I would highly recommend it or any of Like a Local Tours'  other tasty and fascinating tours!

Mom - The Brooklyn Bridge, Brooklyn Heights, and DUMBO tour is another informative and delicious tour by Like a Local Tours. Some of the foods you may get to sample on this tour include pizza, whoopie pies, and tacos. The visual highlights include the Brooklyn Bridge, the Brooklyn Promenade, and one of the most scenic locations in all of New York City, a spot where you can see the Empire State Building framed by the Manhattan Bridge. Other highlights you'll see along the way include the spot where Jackie Robinson signed his history-making Major League Baseball contract and the very first Haagen-Daz shop. Intellectually, aesthetically, and gustatorily, this is a delightfully satisfying tour.
