I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Garden of Green: Exquisite Jewelry from the Collection of Van Cleef & Arpels

We were given complimentary tickets to the American Museum of Natural History for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Garden of Green: Exquisite Jewelry from the Collection of Van Cleef & Arpels

Where: American Musem of Natural History
             200 Central Park W.
             New York, NY

Who: All ages

When: Through March 17, 2024

The exhibit, Garden of Green, now on display at the American Museum of Natural History celebrates spectacular specimens of that color gem. The collection, which is on loan from Van Cleef & Arpels consists of 44 different pieces of jewelry. Many of these items have never been on display in the United States before.

Objects of several different varieties of green gems are a part of the collection. They include pins shaped like ballerinas, birds, and butterflies as well as various necklaces, earrings, and more. Although the exhibit does not necessarily include information on the specific pieces, it does provide some background regarding how some of the pieces may have been inspired or when jewelry of that type was popular.

The exhibit is free to visit with admission to the museum. It will be on display through March 17.
