I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Broadway By the Year's second concert of the year took place on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Town Hall. This time around the theme was revues and jukebox musicals. The evening did seem a little heavier on the revues than the jukebox musicals. The show did not really cover really popular recent jukebox musicals like Jersey Boys and Beautiful either. However, that being said the performances were still wonderful, and the entire evening was a delight. Shows covered included The Zigfield Follies, Beatlemania, The Boy From Oz, and Moulin Rouge. Songs included A Pretty Girl is Like is a Melody, Fascinating Rhythm, and Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend. Singers included newcomer, Anais Reno, an 18-year-old with an extremely incredible voice, and veteran, Tony Danza, a surprisingly decent singer and not a bad dancer either. Another highlight of the evening was actress, Melissa Errico's story of her aunt, the Zigfield Follies star. All in all, the whole event was a joyous evening of music and dance.

The next Broadway by the Year concert this season, Almost on Broadway, will take place on June 27, 2022, and will focus on beloved shows that never quite made it to Broadway. The final show of the season, A One Night Only History of Song and Dance on Broadway will focus on a variety of dance styles that have appeared in Broadway shows. And that's our view. Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
