Books: All Girls
Today we are talking about All Girls by Emily Layden. This book takes place at an all-girls boarding school. Years ago a student's allegations of rape by a teacher were not taken seriously and today somebody doesn't want to let that go. This book is kind of all over the place. It has a lot of interesting characters, but you only get a brief glimpse of each of them as each chapter is told from the point of view of a different character. Just as you feel like you are getting to know a character the story moves on to another character. Accordingly, although the gist of the story is interesting and leaves you wanting to know more, it is hard to get attached to any of the characters and ultimately leaves you unsatisfied.
