I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Thoroughly Meaty Musicals Starring The Broadway Hotdog

What: Thoroughly Meat Musicals Starring The Broadway Hotdog

Where: Season 1 Available on Broadway on Demand

Who: All ages

If you are looking for something completely different and a little silly (or a lot silly depending on your point of view), you might want to try Thoroughly Meaty Musicals Starring The Broadway Hotdog These amusing cartoons are spoofs of major musicals starring a cast of cartoon franks. They are quick, about 15 minutes each, and cleverly adapted. You don't necessarily have to be familiar with the musicals being spoofed to appreciate them although familiarity definitely adds to the enjoyment of them. Season 1 consists of 5 episodes parodying Les Miserables (Les Meaterables), Bye Bye Birdie (Fry Fry Weenie), Sweeney Todd (Weenie Todd), Xanadu (Hamadu) and Hello Dolly (Hello Weenie) respectively. It is not clear whether or not there will actually be a second season, but in the meantime, just be grateful for the five episodes that already exist because I'm sure we could all use a laugh or two right about now.

Thoroughly Meat Musicals are available only on Broadway on Demand. You must sign up for a subscription to watch Broadway on Demand programming. However, a subscription is free and so is access to this series once you have signed up for a subscription. For more information about Broadway on Demand go to www.broadwayondemand.com/pages/about-us/a/about.

And that's our view. Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
