I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Game: Kwirky & Books: The Grace Kelly Dress

We may have been given complimentary copies of any books or other products mentioned here for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Game: Kwirky

Me - Today I am recommending Kwirky. Kwirky is fun game. The object is too answer questions and earn cards. There is no one right answer for any of the questions so the idea is to give an answer that the other players know to be a right answer or you can convince them is the right answer. It is a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it is a really entertaining game. If you like games that make you think and are not exactly the same every time you play them, you will probably enjoy this game.

Books: The Grace Kelly Dress

Mom - Today I am recommending The Grace Kelly Dress by Brenda Janowitz. The Grace Kelly Dress is a charming story about three generations of one women in one family all connected not only by family ties but by a beautiful wedding dress. Each women's story is told concurrently in alternating chapters and each women's story is equally interesting and will keep your attention. There is not as much romance in the story as you would think, however so if you are looking for a triple romance you will be disappointed. Only one section of the book is really romantic. Surprisingly, it is the only section of the book that does not begin with the main character getting or being engaged. All three sections of the book are about the how the characters lives are shaped by love, loss and expectations. Two sections of the book are more about the relations between mothers and daughters and the other is not because the main character is an orphan. It is interesting to read about how each woman's live is shaped by her time and her circumstances and how things change in a family from one generation to the next.

And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
