I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Mom: The Unsinkable Molly Brown the fictionalized story of real-life survivor of the Titanic, Margaret Brown has returned to New York for the first time since the original show played at the Winter Garden back in the 1960s. This show is more than a revival but a revised version that is meant to more accurately reflect the actual life of Molly and her wealthy miner husband, J.J. Some of the songs from the current version of the show were originally in the musical and some are just songs written by Meredith Wilson, the original composer. Most of the songs from the musical both in the original version and the current version are not that well known anyway.  Probably the most well known song from the show is the the rollicking anthem, I Ain't Down Yet. That song remains in the show and was in the 1964 musical version of the show as well. The show is a barrel of fun but also has a serious side too. It not only deals with the sinking of the Titanic but the dangers of working in the mines, and the disparity of the haves and have nots. Yet, it does not do so in a heavy handed manner. If the audience's enjoyment of the show rests on the shoulders of the actress playing, Molly Brown than this show is in good hands. Beth Malone is a spunky and delightful Molly and the show is an extremely pleasant and fun diversion.

And that's Mom's view.  For more about The Unsinkable Molly Brown or to purchase tickets, visit http://transportgroup.org/project/the-unsinkable-molly-brown.
