I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Movies: Leo Da Vinci: Mission Mona Lisa

Mom - Today I am recommending Leo Da Vinci: Mission Mona Lisa. This a cute movie about young artist and inventor, Leo Da Vinci. He and his friend, Lisa and two younger children go on a mission to find a lost treasure so Lisa's father can pay off his debt, and she is not forced to marry someone she hates. The story is entertaining although a bit old fashioned in the idea that Lisa has to be rescued from the impending doom that awaits her by a male friend. Although, Lisa does not sit by idly and wait to be rescued she actively participates as well, it is clear that Leo is the one who takes charge in this story. Although the animation may not be state of the art, the characters movements seem quite jerky at times, the film is visually beautiful. The colors are very vibrant, and some shots do seem quite lifelike particularly the nature shots like a beautiful waterfall. All in all, though it is a engaging film that can be enjoyed by the whole family.

Leo Da Vinci: Mission Mona Lisa will be released in theater this Friday August 2. You can view the trailer at on Fandango at https://www.fandango.com/leo-da-vinci-mission-mona-lisa-217523/movie-overview
