I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Adventures from Ezra Jack Keats and Motown the Musical

We were given free tickets to Adventures from Ezra Jack Keats for review purposes, Any and all opinions expressed here are our own based on our experience.

Me - The show was based on two books written by Ezra Jack Keats. I never read any of his books. However, based on the show his books seem good, and I would recommend them to little kids. The first part of the show was called Skates. It was a little confusing. There were two dogs and a bunch of cats. It was interesting that they made a play from a picture book. I never saw anything like that before. I don't remember seeing a show that was all dance before either except once when I went to the ballet. I have seen shows with a lot of dance in them though. I liked Skates, but I like shows that have talking and singing in them besides just dance better. The second part of the show was Maggie and the Pirate. I liked that part. That part was like a normal show. It was about this girl named Maggie. She had a pet cricket. Then, a pirate stole it. She and her friends and her sister, and her sister's boyfriend were trying to find it. I liked the story, and I liked the characters. The songs were good but not that memorable. I liked Maggie and the Pirate better than Skates although I did like both of them.

Me- Motown the Musical was a lot of fun. It felt like a party. I like Motown music so there were a lot of good songs in the show. I liked pretty much all the songs in the show. The story was interesting. I didn't know anything about the history of Motown records before although I did know a lot of the songs. I didn't even know that the songs were from Motown. I had never even heard of Motown. Most of the cast had nice singing voices and were good actors. The sets were okay. There wasn't anything remarkable that stood out about the costumes but they were okay. My favorite part of the show was the songs. I didn't have a favorite song because I liked too many of them to pick a favorite song. I especially liked the funny parts of the show. There were a lot of funny parts, and I couldn't pick a favorite. I really enjoyed Motown, and I would really suggest seeing it before it closes this Sunday, July 31. 2016.

And that's Aurella's view. Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday.
