I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Movies: Clueless and What's Up Doc?

Me - Today I am recommending Clueless. It is a really funny and romantic movie. It seems like it would be the typical teenage movie, but it's not. There is a twist. The movie is said to be an update of the Jane Austin story Emma. 
Mom - Today I am recommending What's Up Doc? This classic movie is a hilarious comedy involving the mixing up of 4 identical bags. It stars Ryan O'Neal as an uptight scientist and Barbra Streisand as the kooky free spirit who invades his life.  The chemistry between the two is really good, they would later team up again in The Main Event. There is a sweetness and innocence to their portrayals unlike anything in their later movies. The film movies along quickly and the fact that is still as funny as ever shows that you don't necessarily need to resort to vulgar humor to make a funny movie. The movie also marked the debut of Madeline Kahn.
