I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Misc. - Idina Menzel's Holiday Wishes Album

We participated in the Idina Menzel Holiday Wishes album review program as members of One2One Network. We were provided an album to review but all opinions are our own.

Me - Today I am recommending Idina Menzel's Holiday Wishes album. Idina Menzel's holiday album is very good. My two favorite songs were All I Want for Christmas and Baby It's Cold Outside. I always  liked those songs but she made them sound even better. Even songs that I don't usually like, for instance, The Little Drummer Boy sounded good when Idina sang them. I wish she would have sang some of the more popular songs like Jingle Bells though. All the songs that she did sing sounded really pretty. There was something to like about ever single one of them. Idina has such a beautiful voice. She makes songs that you may have heard hundreds of times before sound special and new.

Mom- Today I am also recommending Idina Menzel's Holiday Wishes album. Idina is more than just the singer whose name John Travolta messed up at last year's Academy Awards. She is a Tony Award winning Broadway actress and the first person ever to have both a top ten Billboard hit and a Tony Award for acting. If  you think that holiday songs have been done to death and there is no reason for anybody ever to put out another holiday album, listening to this album will change your mind. Idina really puts a unique spin on some old familiar holiday classics and she might even introduce you to one or two holiday songs you are not as familiar with.  Her singing is so crisp and clear that not only can you hear every note but you can actually understand every word she is singing without having to look up the lyrics on YouTube. Idina has a beautiful sounding voice too. There is an airy quality to it. When she holds out a note, it almost feels as if the note just floats away and doesn't just end. One of my particular favorite songs on the album is Baby It's Cold Outside. Idina's voice just blends so well with that of her duet partner on the song, Michael Buble. I also really like The Christmas Song and White Christmas neither of which have sounded as good as they were when they were sung originally until now. Idina Menzel's Holiday Wishes is now available from Warner Brothers Records. If you purchase the album from Target, you will get two bonus tracks. See below for a list of songs on the album:
