I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday - Books: Silver Linings Playbook and Castaways

Me - Today I am recommending Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick. This is one of my favorite books. It was so good. I read it in two days. It was really very different from the movie but they were both good. The book (and the movie) is about a guy who gets out of a mental institution and wants to be reunited with his ex-wife who has a restraining order against him. When his best friend's sister-in-law comes into his life, he finds things going a lot different than he planned. I would definitely recommend reading this book.

Mom - Today I am recommending Castaways by Elin Hilderbrand. Castaways is a book about a group of four couples who are best friends. It is about the many different ways all the others are affected when one couple Greg and Tess McAvoy die in a boating accident. There is Andrea, the older cousin, who was sort of like a mother to Tess and her husband the chief of police whose job it is to hold everyone together. There is fun loving Delia and her steady husband Jeffrey. There is drugged up Phoebe and her calm and cool husband Addison.  It is about the way these people come together and the ways they grow apart. It is about the ways they grow and the ways they change as a result of what happens to their friends.  Even though all of the characters can be annoying a times, they all have redeeming factors that makes them ultimately likeable. All in all, I would definitely recommend this book.

And that's our view.  Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
