Our view: Whether you love ABBA music or not, Mamma Mia is still an enjoyable show. It is not just one of those musicals where basically people just stand around and sing and dance to the musical catalog of some singer or musical group. There is an actual story line to Mamma Mia. While it may not be the most brilliant story line or at times the most plausible, it is entertaining. It is a very upbeat show filled with good music. While even younger children, would probably enjoy the lively music, they would not understand the nuances of the plot. If just sitting and listening to the music is enough for them, it might be okay to take them to the show. Otherwise, I would leave them at home.
