I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Illinoise

What: Illinoise

Where: St. James Theatre
             246 W. 44th St.
             New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 12 and Up

When: Through August 10, 2024

Illinoise is a dance musical based around an album by singer, Sufjan Stevens. The show is a dance musical with no spoken dialogue. There is a plot, however, although it is a somewhat thin one, and it is often hard to get just from the dancing. The show also deals with triggering topics like cancer and suicide.

Of course, this show is really just all about the dance. The show did win several awards for choreography including the 2024 Tony Award. If you are in it for the dance, your going to love it. If you are looking for clearer story maybe not.

And that's our view. For more about Illinoise or to purchase tickets go to illinoiseonstage.com.

Tune in Sunday for this week's Sunday Scoop.
