I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

The Sabbath Girl, The Musical, is a musical based on the play of the same name which was staged at the same venue several years ago. The show is about a Seth, a Jewish man and Angie, a Gentile woman. She moves into his building and becomes his Sabbath goy, which is a non Jewish person who does things for an Orthodox Jew that he or she is not allowed to do on the Sabbath. Things becomes complicated when the two develop feelings for each other.

The current version of is the show is basically the same as the previous version except with songs added. The songs are not that memorable. On the whole, they don't seem to add that much too the story either except in a few cases where they help to heighten the emotions of the main characters.

The acting and singing voices are good, however. Marilyn Caserta is especially good in the lead role of  Angie. Lauren Singerman is terrific as well in the role of  Max's disapproving sister. Caserta and Max Wolkowitz in the role of Seth have a nice chemistry unlike the couple who played the pair in the previous incarnation of the show.

The story is interesting and mostly enjoyable. However, there are some parts that don't seem that believable like the way everything is so neatly wrapped up at the end. We would like to know more about what happens to these characters in the future.
