I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

The Bleeding Class is the first of three plays by Chisa Hutchinson to be presented at 59E59 Theatres as part of their Amplify Festival. The show about a global pandemic raging across the globe and killing hundreds of thousands of people may be a little too soon for some people to handle especially depending on how affected they were by the actual recent pandemic. The show's plot revolves around a woman who is found to have a super immune system which may be the key to finding a cure and even a way to prevent people from catching the disease in the first place. The show is reminiscent of the Henrietta Lacks case in which a woman's cells were harvested for research without her or her family members' knowledge or permission except in the current show the woman is fully aware of what is going on and has given her full consent.

The performances overall are good. However, special mention must be made of Vincent Szutenbach who really makes his presence known in a series of different roles without ever uttering a word.

Excellent use is made of sound effects, particularly in one funny scene. Great use is made of video projections as well.

The show has a lot to say about racial and class divisions, capitalism, and more. It raises lots of important questions. If you want a show that makes you think, you may enjoy this one.
