I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Ten Broadway Musicals We Love

Here are ten great musicals, we loved. Unfortunately of these ten only one (1) of these shows is currently running on Broadway.

Me - Here are five great musicals:

1) Wicked - This show is The Wizard of Oz from a different point of view. A better point of view in my opinion. It is told from the point of view of The Wicked Witch of the West. In this version, she is not the bad one.

2) Mamma Mia - A musical filled with Abba songs is great, but I love that it has an actual story to it as well.

3) Xanadu - A really fun show and the cast seems to have as much fun as the audience. A critic said it was a great show from a terrible movie with great songs, and I would have to agree.

4) Pippin - I love the way the most recent version of Pippin tied in the circus to the whole thing.

5) Annie - A really fun musical about the power of positivity.

Mom  - Here are five more great Broadway musicals:

6) Godspell - Another show where the cast seems to be having as much fun as the audience.

7) Cinderella - The most recent version of Cinderella was filled with just as much romance but a lot more humor.

8) A Chorus Line - A true view of what life is like for actors when they aren't a big-name star.

9)   Once  - A sweet but sad love story and the pre-show jam and the opportunity to go up on stage makes it even better.

10)  Hairspray - This show teaches some important lessons, but it tells them in a fun way.

And that's our view. What Broadway musical did you love or would you love to see?

Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday.

  1. People look at me like a backwards simpleton when I tell them I have never seen a Broadway musical. Not everyone gets those opportunities or raised from a young age to experience such magical moments.

    1. Yes, true but there are a lot of touring productions as well so even those who don't live near New York and can't get there have the opportunity to experience the magic of live musical theater and hopefully you will someday as well. Thanks for visiting Says Me Says Mom and your comment.
