Mom- Today I am recommending Snapshots. If you prefer a nice quiet film to a big loud action filled movie, Snapshot is a good choice. When Rose's daughter, Patty and granddaughter, Allison come to to visit they bring an old camera of Rose's with them. When the film left on the camera is developed, the pictures cause Rose to reflect on a summer long ago and a long lost secret love. At the same time, her granddaughter is grappling with her own future and a secret love of her own. It turns out the two have a lot more in common than they thought much to the chagrin of Patty. This is a well acted timely film. If you are offended by lesbian themes, you should avoid this movie. Anyone else would probably enjoy it especially anyone that likes a touching intergenerational story.
The film has received more than 20 awards across the film festival circuit since it's world premiere earlier this year including: Best Picture, Best LGBT Feature, Best Composer, Audience Award, etc. among them. The film is now available on VOD or digitally or on DVD or Blu Ray for more information, visit http://www.snapshotsthefilm.com/.
And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
