Me  - Gettin' the Band Back Together is a show about these people who were in a band in high school. One of them decides they should get back together and play again. The show was really good! It was extremely funny. The music was great. I can't wait to get the sound track. The fact that it took place not far from where my Mom grew up only added to my enjoyment of the show because I could relate to it more. However, even if you are not from New Jersey or the part of New Jersey where the show is set, there is a lot about the show that anyone who grew up or is growing up in the suburbs could relate to. It is one of the most enjoyable shows I have seen in a while! I hope I get the opportunity to see this really fun show again soon, and I would highly recommend you see it if you have the chance!

Mom - If you want to see a show that will definitely put a smile on your face, Gettin' the Band Back Together is a good choice. Although the subject matter about a group of guys basically trying to recapture their youth might not be the most original, the show puts its own fresh spin on that theme. The show is hilarious and will keep you laughing throughout. The music is mostly upbeat and fun, and songs like the catchy title number may even stick in your head long after you've left the theater. Although the story seems to be heading down a predictable path, there is a surprising plot twist or two that keeps it interesting. Anyone who grew up in the 80s especially in the Central Jersey area, will find the show full of nostalgia even in the most surprising of ways. However, even if you did not grow up during that time or in that location, you can definitely still enjoy this wonderfully amusing show.
