NYC Subway Art Tour and Fiorello

We were given a free NYC Subway Art tour for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Me - The NYC Subway Art Tour was different than any other tour I've been on. It was fun. We went around to different subway stations and looked at the artwork in the stations. In the 14th street station, they had all these little statutes of people and animals. They were cool! One was a squirrel holding a coin. Another was a person holding its own head as if its head had blown off. It all had to do with money and poor people and rich people. Another station had a wall of colorful tiles with Chinese symbols on them.That station also had teapots. The teapots all looked the same though.  One station's artwork had a circus theme. Another had some artworks that were like framed pictures behind glass. There was one station with small pictures of people carrying things. It was supposed to show people carrying on with life. There was a station with pictures of hats. They were real hats that had belonged to real  famous people, and the hats were as tall as they would be if the real people were wearing them. Another subway station had pictures of toys. It was a really interesting tour, and I would really suggest going.

Me - Fiorello was interesting. I liked the show. It was about Fiorello La Guardia who was Mayor of New York  back in the 1930s and 1940s. I never heard of him before I saw show. The show was previously on Broadway before I was alive. The original Broadway show closed even before my Mom was born. I had never even heard of any of the songs before I saw the show. However, I remember  one where they spelled out La Guardia. It was a fun song. I don't remember the other songs. The show was informative. I learned a lot about Fiorello La Guardia. He seemed like a hardworker and helpful person. The acting was good. I did not have a favorite character.  The set was cool. They had buildings that they moved around. It looked kind of like a game board or something. It was a good show, and I am glad I saw it.
