Me - Urban Adventure Quest, sort of wow! Our Urban Adventure Quest took place in Central Park. It was definitely a quest that is better for people who are used to hiking a lot rather than people who just want to casually explore the park. Some of the things we saw, I didn't even know existed before. That made it really interesting. However, we got lost, and that wasn't fun. Also, it was tiring. It made me interested in exploring the park further on my own.
Mom - Our Urban Adventure Quest took place in Central Park. It did not go exactly like we planned. We ended up lost, exhausted and unable to complete our quest. You don't have to. You can learn from our mistakes. First of all, if you have as bad a sense of direction as every member of our family, you might want to have a paper map and/or an actual compass in addition to the navigation system and compass on your phone or other electronic device. Phone navigation systems make it clear when you are going the wrong way, but there are not always so clear about the right way to go. Second, make sure you have had plenty of rest before you begin your quest, and do not start it if you have previously engaged in a lot of physical activity on the same day. Third, wear comfortable shoes; not just shoes that you are pretty sure are comfortable most of the time, but shoes that you are absolutely certainly are comfortable for long periods of time. Fourth, give yourself plenty of time and build in periods of time for rest while you are on your Urban Adventure Quest. Don't think that just because you are exploring a city where you can walk to all the locations in the quest that it will be easy. Lastly, don't forget to bring plenty of water especially if it is a hot day. If you follow these suggestions, you should have a great time on your Urban Adventure Quest and be able to complete it. I wish we did.
And that's our view. What city would you like to explore on an Urban Adventure Quest?
Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday.
