I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Big Feelings is a new play by Ryan Drake, directed by Sammy Zeisel, with Julia Greer as Ms. Joy. Set inside a classroom, for only 20 audience members a night. It's Ms. Joy's last day teaching you in 1st grade, and she wants to tell you about something that hurt her feelings. How do we spell feelings? When should we ask for forgiveness? Could you come up and draw it on the board? Don't worry — she knows it can be tricky. Kids always do figure it out.

4) LaMama Migration Diary

The production brings real lives to the stage inside one of the world’s most influential homes of experimental theater. No invented characters. No fictional dialogue. Just the stories people carry across borders. Built through an extensive documentary process of interviews, personal archives, video diaries, and autobiographical testimony, Migration Diary continues the groundbreaking artistic method Vidu created more than a decade ago for her internationally acclaimed Diary of Romania (Jurnal de România) series, presented across Europe at major festivals and theaters. Performed by Sam Xu, Lia Fietz, Ana-Maria Bandean, and Ellen Ko, the show follows women whose lives passed through Romania, China, Germany, Portugal, Singapore, London, Moscow, and finally New York — and asks the question this city has always asked, and never fully answered: what does it mean to stay?

7) Picasso: Le Monstre Sacré

Created for the 50th anniversary year of Picasso’s death, PICASSO: LE MONSTRE SACRÉ asks how should he be judged? Picasso was an undisputed genius and visionary artist, yet his obsession with his work often destroyed those he professed to love. Brilliantly incarnated by Peter Tate, in a challenging, powerful, intelligent study, Picasso passionately defends his reputation. It’s an explosive, deeply passionate voyage of self-revelation, leaving the audience as his jury… Should we condemn or forgive him? How do we judge our great artists?

The twenty works on view, made between 1956 and 2008, place him among the earliest American color street photographers, alongside Saul Leiter, Ernst Haas, and Ruth Orkin.
