I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

InunDATEd is the story of Lucy, a singer-songwriter, on a quest to find her perfect match. She is determined to leave herself open to all possibilities, but after a succession of disastrous speed dates, she has to wonder if her perfect match is really out there. This is a charmingly amusing musical. The worse Lucy's potential dates get the funnier it is for the audience.

Kate Rockwell, sporting her naturally darker hair instead of her usual blonde plays Lucy. She finally both literally and figuratively gets a chance to break out of the dumb blonde roles she is known for and does so well. She is delightfully warm. pleasant and inviting in the role and extremely relatable as well.

Taylor Crousore represents all her various dates. He does a fabulous job of taking on string of extremely quirky characters that includes a dog lover who treats his date the same as his pet, a silent mime, and an Australian guy with an invisible twin. Each persona he takes on is completely different in voice, manner, behavior, even how they move. It's like watching a masterclass in character studies.

The score is fun and relatable. It includes songs about pretending to enjoy things because the person you love does, the danger of saying the wrong name when you're with somebody and the fear of being too happy. All songs except one are sung, by Lucy in her singer-songwriter mode.

The ending is extremely satisfying but surprisingly believable and unsappy. It is quite hopeful for anyone on a similar quest. It reminds us that even if perfection doesn't exist, you can still find happiness if your willingly to be open and make compromises.

And that's our view. For more about InunDATEd or to purchase tickets, visit yorktheatre.org.
