Welcome to the Silly Pumpkins Giveaway Hop
hosted by Mama the Fox
How did pumpkins become associated with Halloween? Why do we
send cards on Valentine's Day? How did the tradition of
April Fools Day get started? There is so much about the
holidays we celebrate that we just take for granted and we don't necessarily understand or know how or why that part of the
tradition came to be. However, if you are interested in
knowing more about the background of many of the most
cherished holiday celebrations, you are definitely going to
want to read Linda Weaver Clarke's new book, Understanding
Holiday Traditions. This book is a very informative look at
the how and why various holidays were created and how they
came to resemble the celebrations we are familar with today.

I use to enjoy taking my kids trick or treating when they were little. Now they have outgrown that. It goes by so quickly. Thanks for visiting Says Me Says Mom and for your comment.
