Monthly Mashup for June, 2020 Bread and Life in the Summer of 2020
Me - My topic for this month is bread. I love bread. I like the way it tastes. I like white bread and Italian bread. Wheat bread is okay, but I don't like wheat pasta. I am not such a big fan of sandwiches, but I l do love bread. I like toast. I like my toast only with butter no jelly or anything.
Sometimes, when we have pasta, I like to melt cheese over garlic bread, and it is really good. It tastes best when we make it with shredded mozarella. I love cheesy bread! I like bread sticks too and garlic knots.I love when you go to an Italian restaurant, and there is bread on the table.
I like Shoprite brand white bread. It is just like plain bread, but it is so good. I don't know why, but I love it. Bread is great!
Mom - My topic for this month is the life in the Summer of 2020. Normally, I love this time of the year. My girls are out of school. Our days are not as structured as they are during the school year. We spend a lot of time going to fun places and doing fun things. This year is different. Even though some places are opening up, there still isn't as much to do, and even when you do things you have to worry about wearing masks and keeping socially distant and things like that. We are definitely planning to be responsible in that way because we do not think that just because things are starting to open up it means that crisis is over. I mean look what happened in states like Texas and Florida when they opened up too early. Also, when you don't worry about things like wearing a mask and social distancing, you are not only putting your own health (and even your life) in jeopardy, you are putting everyone else's health and life in jeopardy too. I know that it is not the same going out and doing fun things when you have to worry about things like social distancing and mask wearing. I also know that it is not comfortable wearing a mask for a long time especially in the hot weather. However, we have to remember that we literally are all in this together and we need to think about others and not just ourselves.
And that's our view. What's on your mind?
Tune in tomorrow for Tips for Tuesday
