I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Good Things About Reading Books

Me - Reading, wow! Here are some great things about reading

1- Books are fun - Anybody can enjoy a book if they find the right one.

2- Books are an escape - It is so easy to loose yourself in a story no matter what is going on in your life.

3- It lets you vicariously experience different things - Things you can't do or experience yourself you can experience through  book.

4-It's a good way to relax - If you are ever just completely stressed out, get lost in a book and you'll feel better.

5- It's a good alternative to screen time- Although some people might not want an alternative to screen time, we all know they can probably use one.

Mom - Here are some more good things about books.

6- You can learn thing from books - Anything you can possibly want to learn about, you can probably find a book on.

7 - It's a good way to pass time - When you are waiting for something, time goes by quicker if you read while you wait.

8- You can do it no matter where you are- Books are portable you don't have to be in a certain place to use them and you don't need WiFi or a mobile network.

9 - It increases your vocabulary - If you don't read books that are too easy for you, you can usually learn some new words from your reading.

10 - It can be an inexpensive form of entertainment - Between used books, libraries and so many free and inexpensive e--books available from Amazon and other sources, it is usually pretty easy to get a lot of books for not a lot of money.

And that's our view. What do you like about reading?
