I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Making Maisel Marvelous

Where: The Paley Center
             25 W. 52nd St.
             New York, NY

Who: All ages

When: Through Saturday September 7, 2019

Me - The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Exhibit at the Paley Center  was a lot bigger than I expected. Although I have never actually seen the show, the exhibit was still  interesting. There were lots of clothes from the show. They were nice. They were pretty, and the colors were beautiful. There were pieces from the sets like chairs including ones from the beauty parlor set with hair dryers, and a telephone switch board and more. Some of the furntiture you could actually sit in and take pictures. That was cool! They had scenes from the show playing  in the background all over the exhibit. There were lots of pictures and posters and other things.. Even if you have never see the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, you could still enjoy the exhibit. It was definitely the best exhibit I ever remember seeing at The Paley Center. It  really made me want to watch the show!

Mom - If you are a fan of Amazon's The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, you won't want to miss the current exhibit at the Paley Center in New York City regarding the show. Visiting this immersive exhibit is truly like stepping into your TV set and into a timewarp.  Visit B. Altman's cosmetic counter. Try working the switchboard. Sit in  Rose's Paris Apartment or at the Stage Deli, and  there is so much more to explore in this entertaining and completely free exhibit as well. Just about the only thing you can't do is try on the beautiful colorful costumes although plenty of them are on display for your viewing pleasure. Also, on display are scenes from the show running throughout the exhibit. They truly make you feel like you have really become a part of the show.  If you want to enjoy the show the old fashioned way by sitting and watching whole episodes on a (giant) screen, attend one of the special screenings of select episodes. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel exhibit at The Paley Center is fabulous and fun and definitely worth visiting, but hurry! It's only open for a few more days!
