I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Me - Laughing Liberally is a fun show. It's a standup comedy show mainly revolving around politics. Despite, this it is not all political. There are also jokes about the comedians' family lives, the media etc. Aside from sketch shows, such as, Saturday Night Live, I had never seen a comedy show before so I wasn't really sure what to expect, but I found it to be really enjoyable.  I'd been slightly worried that some jokes might go over my head since I don't follow the news that closely, but despite not knowing all of the details of certain people and events that they mentioned, the humor still appealed to me.  If you're not into politics or vulgar humor, than this show is definitely not for you. However, if you are unhappy with the political state of the country right now than I would highly recommend seeing it.

Mom - If you need a good laugh, and these days who doesn't need a good laugh, go and see Laughing Liberally. The show is not a story with a plot but rather a night of standup comedy. There is not  a set line-up. Different comedians appear on different nights although on any night the lineup is quite diverse representing a variety of enthnic and/or racial groups. Some of the comedians are quite well known like Janeane Garofalo and Elayne Boosler and others are not as well known. The show is not necessarily as political as it sounds. It really depends what comedians are there on the night you attend. Some of the comedian's sets are more political than others. Although there definitely will be at least some liberal leaning political humor and probably some vulgar humor as well so if you are offended by either one this is probably not the show for you. However, if that doesn't bother and you just want to relax and have a good time and laugh a little, go see this show.

And that's our view. For more information or to order tickets, go to www.laughingliberallyny.com.
