I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Sleepover at The Battleship New Jersey

We were given free tickets to a sleepover at The Battleship New Jersey for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

Me - The sleepover at the Battleship New Jersey was fun. Even though sometimes when you are on a ship, you feel it moving even when you are not going any place, we never felt any moving. That was good because nobody got seasick. Also, even though they said it might be cold on the ship, we were never really cold. On the ship. there were areas by where you slept where there were tables and chairs. You could sit there and hang out or you could bring a game and play it. You slept in the beds that the sailors actually slept in. It was not very comfortable, but it was only for one night. They served dinner at night and breakfast the next morning. I liked the dinner. It was very good. They served chicken, macaroni and cheese and chocolate chip cookies. To drink, there was pink lemonade. It tasted better with sweetener.  I didn't really like the breakfast, but I am not much of breakfast person. For breakfast, there was cereal, eggs, sausage, and hash browns. Also, there was juice and milk. There were guided tours that you went on. You went around the ship with a tour guide who taught you about the ship like what things were and what they were used to for. One part of the tour I really liked was when we visited the Captain's cabin. The Captain's cabin had a real bed unlike the bunks we slept in. I wish that was what we got to sleep in.  After the tour, they had snacks in the eating area, and some people were watching a movie. We didn't watch the movie, we just went back to our area. We played Scattegories. It was really fun. The lights go out at 11:00 PM. You have to get out of bed in the morning at 8:00 AM for what they call the "Morning Colors". Then, they serve breakfast. After breakfast, you can go on a self-guided tour. There are yellow lines which show where the tours go. We only went on part of the self-guided tour because we had already been to the Battleship New Jersey a few years ago. After the self-guided tour, you pretty much get ready to go home. There is also a flight simulator and you can ride on it before or after you go on the ship. I enjoyed our visit to the Battleship New Jersey even though I didn't actually sleep much, and I would really recommend it.

And that's Aurella's view. Tune in tomorrow for Funtivity Friday.
