I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

The Big Apple Circus

We were not financially compensated for this post. We received free tickets to the Big Apple Circus for review purposes. All opinions expressed here are our own based on our experience.
Me- The Big Apple Circus was fun. I loved all of it. I liked that there was only one thing going on at a time so it was easy to watch. The trapeze artists were cool. They did some amazing tricks. I would like to fly through the air like that but I would be too afraid of falling. It was interesting to see one man actually juggle another man with his feet. It was fascinating that two women could actually squeeze themselves into one little box. It was really cool that this woman's outfit kept changing right before our eyes. It was kind of  a magic act, but instead of her disappearing her clothes kept changing. It was better than a traditional magic act because I liked looking at all the clothes. There was a lady who juggled while balancing on a pile of stuff. I was impressed. I can only juggle two things at a time while standing on the ground. I love all the animals. They were really cute. I liked when one of the goats was pushing one of the dogs around in a giant hamster wheel. I didn't like the clown. I didn't think he was funny, and he didn't even look a clown. I wish there were more clowns. I like it when circuses have more clowns, and they are really funny. All in all, the Big Apple Circus was a fun experience.
Mom - I have been to the circus many times, but I had never been to The Big Apple Circus before so I didn't know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised. We were lucky enough to be in the 4th row, however, it was a small enough arena that no matter where you sat you were close to the action. My favorite act was a magic act but instead of a pretty lady  just disappearing, she just kept appearing in different outfits. They wrapped her in a blanket, she came out in a different outfit. They threw confetti around her, when the confetti cleared, she was in a different outfit. That was just a couple of the ways she disappeared and reappeared in a different outfit. I have never seen so many clothing changes in so short of a time. I was very impressed with her wardrobe too. I wouldn't have minded having some of those outfits. I also loved the animal acts. There were dogs, goats, horses, camels, and llamas (or maybe they were alpacas). I loved seeing all the animals parade around and make a living carousel. A few times during the course of the night little mishaps happened. A goat didn't want to ride on a horse. A women balancing on a precarious pile and juggling fell off once or twice. However, even these things didn't take away from the enjoyment of the show. It just showed how hard what the circus performers do is and how talented they are to be able to do what they do. It is not surprising that once in a while some of the circus performers tricks don't always go as  they are supposed to go, it is surprising how often all of these wonderful, dangerous difficult tricks actually do go exactly as they are supposed to.
And that's our view. What do you find most amazing about the circus?

Tune in tomorrow for Funny Friday.
