My sister and I were playing Hide and Seek with our younger cousins. My little cousin kept calling me Maria the whole night. At one point, she went over to her mother and said "I can't find Maria."
"Maria?" asked her mother. "Who is Maria?"
"Maria!" repeated my little cousin waving her arms around in the air for emphasis. "You know! My cousin, Maria."
Mom -
When Aurella was little when she would get an idea in her head, and you could not get it out. She decided that the mouse in Tom and Jerry was named "Sammy" and not "Jerry". "Like my friend, Sammy." she would say. She also decided that Xanadu in the movie and Broadway musical Xanadu was a person and not a place. "Let play, Xanadu, Mommy." she would say, "You be Xanadu, and I'll be Kira."
