I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

If you are looking for a book to read on the beach this summer, John and Mary Margaret by Susan Cushman is a good choice. This bittersweet romance is about a couple who are instantly attracted to each other when they meet in college in the 1960s. However, she is white and he is black so a relationship between them will never be accepted by society. The book covers the lives of this couple from the period of time from the 1960s through the 2010s as well as what was happening in the world at that time and how it affected them.
