I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Book: Relative Silence

Relative Silence by [Carrie Stuart Parks]

Mom - Today I am recommending Relative Silence by Carrie Stuart Parks. Piper Boone's family has lived on their private island with only one other inhabitant for years. A series of misfortunes has plagued the family leading people to believe that the island is cursed. When Piper returns home after the latest tragedy, she soon finds out that it might not be a coincidence that these things keep happening and someone she knows may actually be causing them. While one big revelation is made fairly early on (although it is not confirmed until later in the book), there is enough left to be revealed that the story still remains intriguing throughout the rest of the book. The early revelation is one that most readers of similar books would probably be able to guess anyway and only adds to the interest of the book and the desire to continue reading and find out more. All in all,  the story is compelling and although in the end so much new information is thrown in that is a lot to take in all at once, the conclusion of the book feels mostly satisfactory.

And that's Mom's view. Tune in tomorrow for What-To-Do Wednesday.
