I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Tips for Tuesday: Misc: Wordoku

Me - Today I am recommending Wordoku. Wordoku is a really fun game. It is played by making a four by four grid with letters face down. Then, you start a five minute timer, and you flip over the letters and start making words keeping them in a four by four grid. I like that you can play it a lot of times because it can be different every time. All in all, if you like word games, you would like this game.

Mom - Today I am also recommending Wordoku. Wordoku is like a cross between Sudoku and a crossword puzzle. The objective is to earn points by making words in a four by four grid. A more challenging version of the game can be played by using a five by five grid and additional letters like X and Z. The letters needed for the more challenging version are also included with the game. The game is easily portable because it comes with a little pouch to hold all the letter, and the simple scoreboard is easy to copy if you need to. The game can be played by as little as one person or as many as 6. It can be played by anyone old enough to make words out of letters. It is as much if not more about beating your own best score than about beating other people's which makes it a great game even for people of different ages. It is just a really challenging and fun game.
And that's our view. Tune in tomorrow for Where-To-Go Wednesday.
