I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - The Illusionists and That Physics Show

We were given free tickets to The Illusionists for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: The Illusionists

Where: Neil Simon Theater
             250 W. 52nd St.
             New York, NY

When: Now through January 3, 2016

Who: Age 7 and above
Mom's view: The Illusionists are seven magicians on tour together. Each one specializes in his own particular brand of magic. If you love magic, you will love this show. No matter what kind of magic you are into, you will find it in this show. If there is one magician whose tricks and/or style, you don't particularly like, there is sure to be another one or two whose tricks and/or style you do like.  Even if you are not particularly into magic, but you like to be amazed and surprised, you will like this show. There may be some tricks here that you have seen before, but I guarantee, you will not have seen them all.  Although, this is a magic show this is definitely not strictly a kids show. In fact, the show may be too intense and at times too scary for very small children. Children under 4 are not even permitted in the theater at all. Older children are sure to love the show, however. If you are interested in seeing The Illusionists, order your tickets soon as the show is a limited run, it will only be on Broadway through January 3. It is also very popular so tickets will sell out quick.  If you do not live in the New York area, and you are interested in seeing the show check the web-site to find out when and/if the show will be coming to a town near you. What: That Physics Show

Where: The Playroom Theater
              151 W. 46th St.
              New York, NY

When: Now through January 2

Who: Ages 10 and up
Mom's view: If you are looking for a show with a plot, this is not it. However, if you are looking for a show that is interesting, exciting and fun, you will find that here. The show stars David Maiullo, who has been a physics demonstrator for over 20 years. It is basically a one man show although Mr. Maiullo does have a couple of assistants helping him and once or twice during the show does get a little help from the audience. The show is very educational.  However, don't let that keep you from attending the show or, you will be depriving yourself of a really entertaining and informative show. While younger children would definitely be bored at That Physics show, older children will love it. In no other show can you find exploding balloons, hotdogs and flowers shatttering, and bowling balls hurling through the air among other things. Just don't tell your kids it's going to be educational. Get them there, and they'll love it. Don't wait to go though because the show is only running through January 2.  And that's Mom's view. Tune in to tomorrow's Talking Topics post for Aurella's guest view of The Illusionists and That Physics Show.
