I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Where-To-Go Wednesday - Stirring the Melting Pot

The current exhibition at the New York Historical, Stirring the Melting Pot, features a collection of objects and photographs from the museum's collection that capture the immigrant experience in America. The exhibit covers all aspects of life, including work, school, religion, and more.  



There is also a special section of the exhibit devoted to the General Solcum disaster. This event occurred in 1904 when a passenger steamboat caught fire and sank. 1, 201 of the 1,3,42 passengers aboard were killed. The exhibit specifically traces the tragedy's effect on one family.
