In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day which is
coming up on January 27 and as a reminder that one
person can truly make a difference by standing up
and doing what is right, we are giving away a copy
of The Righteous Few by Marty Brounstein. This
book is about both of those things. Frans and
Miens Wijnakker were a Dutch couple who saved
numerous lives during World War II by hiding
Jews in their home as well as by helping in
countless other ways despite the risk to
themselves and their family. The book is even more
poignant due to the author's connection to the
story. His wife was born while the Wijnakkers were
hiding her family. For more about this book, see
