I started this blog with one daughter, kept it up with the other, to spend time together doing something we enjoyed.
However, things change and people evolve. My daughters are older, busier, and not as interested in writing.
From now on this blog will be mostly mom with occasional contributions from my daughters and maybe even my husband.
Nothing else will change. We'll still focus on sharing fun places to go, fun things to do, and more, and we would  still love to hear your views too

Theater Thursday - Dungeons & Dragons: The Twenty Sided Tavern

We were given complimentary tickets to Dungeons & Dragons: The Twenty Sided Tavern for review purposes. Any and all opinions expressed here are our own.

What: Dungeons & Dragons: The Twenty Sided Tavern

Where: Stage 42
             422 W. 42nd St.
              New York, NY

Who: Recommended for Ages 5 and Up

When you go to the theater and you're actually encouraged to take pictures and videos and post them, you know you are in for something completely different. That is the kind of show this is. As clearly indicated by the title, this show is based on the popular Dungeons & Dragons game. However, speaking as someone who is not at all a D&D fan, you absolutely don't have to be a fan of the game or even know anything about it to enjoy this super fun show. All you need is a sense of adventure and the desire to have a good time.

This show is interactive to the extreme. The audience plays along on their phones making decisions for the characters and more. Thus, the show is completely different every night so you can go as many times as you like and never see exactly the same show twice. In addition to playing along at your seat, you may even be selected to join the cast on stage and participate in a fun game or even act a little,

The cast is terrific. They do a wonderful job of thinking on their feet in this largely improvised show. They are clearly enjoying themselves as much as the audience which only serves to make the show more fun for everyone. All in all, it's a lively, exciting, and unique show that anyone can enjoy.
