A college dean and his assistant are tasked with trying to draft a plan for combatting the use of AI by their students and that is just the beginning of the slippery slope that AI takes us down in this very timely and prescient dark comedy. The show is both extremely funny and scarily relevant.
The excellent cast is led by Bud Fryman, a doppelganger for Jack Black in both looks and over-the-top performance. He is ably joined by Laura Lockwood, Amber Gatlin, Megan Magee, and Dave Morrissey Jr. in this sharply written show. Although one or two parts of the show don't completely make sense that doesn't take away from the piece's brilliance.
The show deals with sexual abuse, harassment, and other disturbing themes so you might want to check into that before attending if those things trigger you. This also makes the show completely unsuitable for children. Ultimately, however, the show does end on a mostly hopeful note reminding us that personal connection still matters. We can only hope that we never lose sight of that in reality either.
And that's our view.
